The Look is a flirty vest knit in SWTC Jazz, a yarn that is made in the USA. The vest is light and has a spectacular drape that makes it perfect for summer weather or holiday glitz. The vest is knit in Seed Stitch and Stockinette with a bit of charted lace on each end. Don’t like charts? Just skip that part and the vest will remain every bit as awesome!

Would you consider this top a pullover or almost-vest? It could be worn as either. The wide, lower band features small bobbles and ribbing. This feature is repeated along the Ushaped neckline and sleeve edges. Sleeves are worked in one piece with the body.

Tranquility is sold out but we’ve knit this in SWTC Therapi and think its even better! Juliet is one of those rare sweaters that really flatters the figure and is just a joy to wear.

Donegal Tweed

Donegal Castle in Ireland has on display some wonderful tapestries dating back to the 16th century. The colors and patterns in one of them was the inspiration for this vest. The lower band, cap sleeves, and neck trim are worked in a garter and rib pattern. Deep green and rich rose form a
net-like pattern for the body. Worked circular with steeks, the body is cut upon completion and the faux front band is added, joining the front opening. Pewter buttons on the upper section of the band complete the historic look.

This clever top, in which front can be back and back can be front, makes good use of the closely hued colors offered in this wonderful yarn. For the front, choose one color for the ridges and 2 closely hued colors for the smooth stockinette. For the back, use the previous ridge color for the smooth stockinette, and 2 other closely hued colors for the ridges. The diagonal lines make it flattering for every type of figure and it knits up lickety-split!

Textures combine in a cardigan blouse with an overlay panel that does double-duty as a collar. The panel is connected to the body with single crochet, which also provides the loop & button closure. The body begins with Stockinette stitch, then proceeds to a diamond patterned yoke. Small modified set-in sleeves maintain this same pattern. A few rows of garter stitch
are used as edging on lower edges & to define the yoke.
