Jonelle's fitted hat

Materials:

Coming Up Flowers (SWTC), 1 skein

Saphira (SWTC), 1 skein

US 9 US 24” circular needles or dpn’s

Darning needle for finishing.

The hat band is knit flat using SWTC Saphira. Once the ends

are sewn together, then on one side of the stitches are picked

up using Comin Up Flowers and the body and crown of hat

are knit in the round. Short circular needles make this easy

but  dpn’s can easily be used.

Tip for knitting with Comin Up Flowers: When you come to

one of the “flowers” in this great yarn, work around it loosely,

workng the flower to the front of your knittng for the best

effect.  Help it pop to the front. Once your hat is complete,

you can also push any flowers to the outside by simply

working pushing them through your stitches with your fingers.

Special stitch:

Brioche Rib: K1B (knit in the stitch below the stitch that is on the needle)
